The British Association of Removers (B.A.R) is the largest established and recognised Trade Association for removal companies that work to a Code of Practice which is approved by the Office of Fair Trading under the Consumer Codes Approval Scheme. This Code applies to furniture removal activities for private individuals within the UK. You can visit the BAR website at www.bar.co.uk to view a copy of that Code of Practice.

All members agree to comply with the BAR Code of Practice as a condition of their membership which sets strict standards for the benefit of their customers and not just themselves.

British Association of Removers Overseas Bonded Members with an Advance Payment Guarantee

As members of the BAR Overseas Group customers enjoy the added protection of the Advance Payment Guarantee. This guarantees that your goods will be delivered to the agreed destination - even if the remover were to cease trading whilst your goods were in transit. Membership criteria is stringent and renewed annually. If you are moving abroad a copy of the Advance Payment Guarantee Certificate will be provided with your Quotation.

Household Goods Fowarders Association of America, Inc

The objectives and purposes of this Association shall be to further the public interest and the interests of its Membership to maintain high standards of service in the Industry, both for the benefit of the commercial and private shippers. To circulate information of general interest and benefit to the Membership and to take other such action as may be proper and lawful and consistent with public interest and with the interest of the Association and its Membership.

Self Storage Association United Kingdom

In 2006 Luker Bros. opened their new state of the art Self Storage Centre which is provided for customers who want to do their own moving and storing or who simply want to rent extra space. The whole site and facility is secure, monitored 24 hours a day by CCTV and external electric gates all accessed only by individual personal PIN codes.

Customers can rent their own spaces ranging from units of 10 sq.ft to 200 sq.ft and have full independent access to their storage during opening hours. A full range of packing materials and accessories are available for purchase. A collection and delivery service can be arranged if required and this is priced individually when specific details are known.
